Adam looks out from the rocks watching every move made by those below.  How much longer was he expected to put up with it all?  Everyday it was the same thing and he was tried of running, tired of all the fake smiles the coy remarks. For heavens sake could they not see that he was just a man no more special then any other?   He looked down beside him; gun in hand ready to defend that which was now his.

Not wanting those below to hear him in the echoes of the rock he speaks through gritted teeth as he reaches his left arm out in a gesture of protection.   It's ok, don't worry, I think they will get
the message and will leave soon.   Adam tries one last ditch effort to disperse the women below.

"Ladies I'm telling you for the last time, I have made my choice",  he points to the lady in red beside him.

"My true love here and I were married this morning; I knew she had won my heart when I didn't see one piece of blue clothing in her wardrobe, not even a blue ribbon.  So please go home so we can".

Once again Adam looks down at his beloved and whispers, "And when I finally get you home, you won't be wearing clothes on any colour for a long ...long ...time.  As he looks down at her he wonders if he can wait to until he gets her to the cabin.

With in minutes all you can hear is the thundering of horse hoofs and the sobs of Virginia city's spinsters as they ride off  and in the rocks the giggles of the young lovers.
