MADLY IN LOVE
by
Heidi

For a few weeks Adam Cartwright stayed with the Willis family. The daughter
of them, Emily, was right from the first moment that she saw Adam madly in
love with him. She spent every free minute with him. Even though Adam liked
her Emily wasn't really the right one for him.

Emily walked through the town and saw a poster hanging of a dance evening.
THIS COMING SATURDAYEVENING DANCE EVEING.
START 20.00 HOUR.

“Adam and I are going to that. I am gonna show my big love to everyone”, she
said to herself.
She walked straight back home.

At the gate she saw her beloved one sitting on the porch. Emily walked to
him and looked at him with amorous eyes.
“Adam, there is a dance evening on Saturdayevening. Shall we go to it?”, she
asked sugary.
“That sounds nice to me. A nice ending to my vacation here”, her big love
answered.
The heart of Emily began to beat harder each time Adam was looking at her.

The days dragged by but finally it was Saturday evening. Emily put on her
most beautiful dress and went with Adam to the dance evening. To make sure
that nobody else would go dancing with Adam Emily kept him all for herself.
“Adam, you dance worderful”, she whispered in his ear during the so maniest
dance.
“You don't do it so bad yourself”, Adam complimented her.
Emily totally blushed.
“Shall we sit down for a moment?”, asked Adam.
She nodded. They walked to their places and looked at the others. A moment
later a couple came walking up on the dance floor. He was dressed in green
and she in blue. They were quite noisy and did the tango in their own way.
In other words: all people on the dancefloor got pushed aside by the tango
dancers. Adam and Emily watched laughing but at a certain moment Adam
stepped in. He got up and walked to them.
“Why don't you go demonstrate your arts of dancing outside? There is plenty
of room and then others can dance here”, he suggested.
“Why not anyway? Hiccup”, the man in green said.
He grabbed his partner by the hand and dragged her outside.
Adam walked back to Emily who now had fallen completely madly in love and
would love to run with him to the cityhall to become Mrs Adam Cartwright.

Arrived at home a disappointed awaited for Emily.
“Adam, I want to ask you something”, she said.
Adam looked at her amazed.
“Do you mind if I go along with you tomorrow to your place?”, she asked.
“Why? I just have to work when I am back again. You would get bored anyway”,
answered Adam.
“That won't be so. I have heard already so much about your ranch that I want
to see it in person. Or is your wife waiting for you?”, she asked a bit
insulted.
“I am a widower but there are two kids of ten who rely on that I take care
of them. Goodnight miss Emily and see you tomorrow”, Adam said cool.
Emily knew now that Adam wouldn't choose her and left him alone. Adam
watched her go and went to his room.

The next morning Adam went back home and left Emily with a broken heart
behind. He knew that Emily wasn't his kind of woman and never would become
too.
